Leaving on a jet plane

So for my 30th birthday earlier this year my amazing hubs bought me a city break to Rome. It's somewhere I've always wanted to go. The trip is getting close now and with it comes the anxiety of leaving the kids behind!! Am I crazy should'nt I be super excited to get some time away without the kids or is this something every parent feels?

I know they will be well looked after and spoiled beyond belief but it's those nagging thoughts I assume every parent has.....what if something happens to them or to us. I know we can't live our lives on what ifs but I can't be the only one who finds this whole parenting thing scary. Constantly thinking of what could happen and how it could impact on the little people in our lives.

it seems to sit better with hubs he has more of a it'll be grand attitude, maybe thats the better attitude to have. It's only a weekend so it will fly by and I'm sure I'll be only home when I'll be wishing for another child free break!
